The University of Western Australia, internationally recognised for its teaching and research, offers high quality regional undergraduate programmes in Albany, on the South Coast of Western Australia, through the UWA Albany Centre. UWA Albany also offers postgraduate coursework and research programmes through the Institute for Regional Development (IRD), the Centre of Excellence in Natural Resource Management (CENRM) and the Rural Clinical School (RCS).
A full Bachelor of Science degree in Restoration Ecologyis now being offered in Albany. The UWA Albany Centre provides a range of quality programmes to school-leavers and mature-age students in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. In 2006 a full first-year enrolment is available in over forty undergraduate degrees offered by seven faculties across UWA as well as a full degree in Arts.
